2021 Direct: Brand Conference Speaker Announcement: 3 Farmer Speakers (Proteins, Produce, Dairy)

The 2021 Direct: Brand Conference is less than a month away, and we’re excited to announce three Farmer speakers from Protein, Produce, and Dairy Farms from across the country! We are delighted to host Brie from Terra Firma Farm Creamery (North Stonington, CT), Ben and Mel from Unconventional Acres (Arena, WI), and Liz from Honey Bee Hills Farm (Prospect Hill, NC). Here’s what you can expect to hear from them at the Conference:

Dairy: Terra Firma Farm Creamery - North Stonington, Connecticut

Brie runs her Dairy in North Stonington, CT, along with her two children, offering various dairy products, beef, pork, chicken, and more. Terra Firma has developed a strong Brand through its involvement in the local community and commitment to producing quality products. Brie offers a direct delivery service with the new Barn2Door + Routific integration to reach more customers and keep them updated about their orders with the app's communication features. Terra Firma also partners with other local Farmers to create a one-stop shopping experience for local buyers.

Protein: Unconventional Acres - Arena, Wisconsin

Mel and Ben moved to Arena, WI, five years ago, where they now raise beef, pork, and chickens for fresh eggs. All of their animals are raised on pasture utilizing regenerative and sustainable farming methods. Despite living in a rural and remote area, Ben and Mel have developed a strong social media presence, with over 60,000 followers on Instagram! 

At the Conference, we’ll hear how Mel and Ben have used social media to grow their Brand and educate followers about their Farm - sharing the good and the bad, the struggles and successes. They’ll also discuss how they manage their social media while saving time, sharing the tactics others can use to engage followers and drive Farm sales.

Produce: Honey Bee Hills Farm - Prospect Hill, North Carolina

After traveling the world and working in international development, Liz of Honey Bee Hills moved to Prospect Hill, NC, to start her Farm with her husband Rich. With a commitment to connecting their community to local, organic food, Liz has successfully applied her career experience and entrepreneurial spirit to her Farm, growing a thriving direct-to-market business.

At the Conference, Liz will dive into the strategies that have fueled the growth of their Farm and how those practices increase revenue and keep their Brand relevant to their customers. Liz will touch on the importance of delivery and subscriptions and how they’ve built their CSA to create a loyal network of Customers.
