Ben and Mel started as homesteaders in Colorado, but as goats led to pigs and pigs led to cattle, they quickly outgrew their Colorado home. Moving to Arena, Wisconsin, in 2016 has allowed Ben and Mel to grow their Farm business to what it is today.
Located in the rolling lands of Prospect Hills, North Carolina, Honey Bee Hills Farm is a Certified-Organic Produce operation. Covering 15 acres, Liz and Rich Mason left their careers in international development to plant some roots (literally!), dedicating their time to growing fresh food for the local communities surrounding their Farm.
Orem Farms is a fourth-generation Farm located in central Indiana where Jared and Joelle Orem raise pasture beef and offer custom hay baling. Last year, when Joelle became a Barn2Door Farm Advisor, we sat down with her to learn more about the Farm and the tactics she and Jared implemented to successfully sell direct online.

In 2000, County Line Harvest began with six acres of farmland on the Sonoma-Marin County line. Today, they have grown to over 30 acres in Northern California and over 100 acres in Southern California, growing produce through the winter season.

In 2016, Ash and Ben Clark purchased 68 acres of Farm land in West Chazy, NY. Sacred Roots Maple is a family Farm rooted in keeping maple traditions alive. Their story is rich in history. In fact, many of the maple trees have been in constant production since the 1800s. What started as a passion project for Ben, quickly grew into a thriving family business. Ben has actually been involved in sugaring for 20 plus years. He started as a young teen, working on the same Farm with the original owner --- learning about the property, how to tend the trees, and the process of producing syrup.
Joelle and Jared Orem run Orem Farms, a 40-acre family Farm located in Northeast Indiana. Jared is a fourth generation Farmer who was raised to grow food, he knows how to work the land and produce quality crops. Joelle has a background in marketing and events with a Bachelor’s Degree in Design from Indiana Wesleyan University; she is a creative thinker with a heart for family, farming, and her local community. Together, their well rounded skills have enabled them to grow the family business.
