Announcing the Barn2Door Point of Sale (POS)!

Barn2Door was built on the idea that Farmers should have an all-in-one solution to run their direct-to-consumer-and-wholesale business – capturing orders, collecting payments, and managing logistics, marketing and inventory all in one place. As buyers increasingly look to purchase food online (70%+ of buyers have now purchased groceries online for pick-up or delivery), the Barn2Door Team prioritized building Farmers a solution to capture online sales.

Yet, we know Farmers also sell in-person at Farmers Markets, from the back of their truck, at events or at on-farm kiosks and stores. In addition to online sales, we are building the ability for Farmers to capture all in-person sales.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Barn2Door Point of Sale (POS) is coming to help Farmers streamline operations and manage online
and in-person sales!

From a single account, Farmers can take orders online and offline, manage inventory, offer buyer-specific pricing and units (retail, wholesale, or private), and price items however they prefer (by weight, set price or custom). So, whether your buyers (consumers, chefs, etc.) are shopping online, at the markets, or making additional purchases during deliveries, Farmers can use Barn2Door to manage their entire business – selling anytime, anywhere, and to anyone!

How Barn2Door’s Point of Sale Works:

Single Merchant Account.

Farmers can manage all of their money in one merchant account for online and in-person sales. No need to juggle multiple accounts – simply download the Barn2Door POS App, which will connect to your existing Barn2Door account.

Real-Time Inventory Sync.

When enabled, Farmers will always know what’s available and what’s low in stock, whether items are being purchased online or in-person. Each order will update your Farm inventory in real-time (no more manual reconciliation).

Sell by Fixed or Variable Weight Pricing.

Choose whether you want to sell items by weight, or set a fixed price for your products. Easily track and edit units for accurate inventory, regardless of how they are priced (by unit, weight, or other custom measures).

Serve All Buyers.

Barn2Door’s POS supports multiple pricing sheets (Retail, Wholesale, and Private Buyers). Whether selling at markets or from your delivery van, choose which pricing sheet to use when selling to your buyers.

Leverage Flexible Payment Options.

Swipe, Insert, or Tap payments directly with the Barn2Door POS payment terminal (no signature required). Farmers can accept credit, debit, cash, or check payments. Tipping can also be enabled!

Point of Sale (POS) will be a game-changer for Farmers running their businesses on Barn2Door as they will benefit from a single inventory, order management, and merchant account across in-person and online sales. Learn more about Barn2Door POS here:
